How build to rent financing works
- Construction loan: we fund 90% of the lot and build.
- Build: the build budget is paid in draws as each stage is completed.
- Lease: find a tenant once the home is finished.
- Refinance: a long-term rental loan pays off the construction loan.

Why build new rentals
A new home needs fewer repairs in its first years than an older rental, which keeps your maintenance costs predictable while you hold it.
Questions builders ask
Straight answers about build to rent loans.
Can I keep the home as a rental instead of selling?
Yes. Most build to rent investors refinance into a long-term rental loan once the home is leased.
How much of my build do you fund?
We fund 90% of your total cost: the lot price plus the build budget. You bring the other 10%.
Do I need building experience?
No. We lend to first-time builders with no completed projects, as well as to experienced builders.
How is the build budget paid out?
In draws. As each stage of the build is completed, the work is inspected and that stage's money is released.
